AN OPEN LETTER FROM HEAD COACH BEN JACOBSON TO MEN'S BASKETBALL SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

Dear Aggie Men's Basketball Family,

From the moment my family and I arrived in Logan, the warmth, generosity and genuine excitement of this community have been remarkable. Your welcome has meant a great deal to us, and I know our staff members and their families feel the same way. We are grateful to be here, proud to represent Utah State University and excited to join a community with such a rich basketball tradition.

As we prepare to tip off the season, our team cannot wait to play in front of the best fans in the Pac-12 Conference. You can expect a team that competes with toughness, plays with tremendous energy and represents this university and community the right way. We understand the responsibility that comes with wearing the Aggie Blue and Fighting White. We will work every day to honor the traditions that came before us while building a program capable of competing for championships. That work belongs to our players and coaches, but the atmosphere we create together belongs to all of us.

And that brings me to you. Our sixth man.

Your energy can change the momentum of a game, disrupt our opponent and give our players an extra edge when they need it most. Your voice matters. Your presence matters. I don’t want you simply watching the game. I want you to be part of it.

Aggie basketball has a proud tradition, and I would like us to start one more. I am asking every fan in the building to join the HURD in standing and staying loud from the opening tip until our opponent scores its first point. Every possession. Every defensive stand. Every second. There is nothing more intimidating than knowing the entire building is united against you. Let’s make that our standard from the very first tip.

Thank you for investing in our program, for believing in our student-athletes and for joining us in the pursuit of championships. Your commitment makes a difference, and we do not take it for granted. I am honored to lead this program and look forward to everything we will accomplish together.

Bring your ear plugs. I look forward to hearing you Monday night.
Go Aggies!
Ben
